The Coyotes will try to end a three-game losing streak on Sunday night when they take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The puck drops at 4 p.m. Arizona time.

Arizona (1-3-0) is in desperation mode after losing the first three games of a six-game road trip vs. Eastern Conference teams.

Louis Domingue will start in goal looking to rebound from a medicore start to this season. Pressed into action after Mike Smith's injury, Domingue owns a 0-3-0 record, a 6.25 goals-against average and a .836 save percentage.

The Coyotes have been getting nice secondary scoring from Brad Richardson (two goals, two assists) and Jordan Martinook (two goals, two assists), but the top-six forwards are struggling to light the lamp. Neither Max Domi nor Anthony Duclair has scored a goal in the first four games, and Martin Hanzal, Tobias Rieder and Radim Vrbata have scored just one each.

Heading into Saturday's games, Hanzal ranked fourth in the NHL with 59 face-off wins and third in face-off winning percentage at 65.6 percent.

Jakob Chychrun is the first rookie defenseman in franchise history to record a point in his first three NHL games. The 18-year-old has one goal and two assists.

Forward Jamie McGinn, who has yet to play a game because of an upper-body injury, has joined the Coyotes in New York and skated at Sunday's morning skate.

New York (3-2-0) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Washington, 4-2, on Saturday night at the Verizon Center.

Rookie Jimmy Vesey scored two goals, three minutes apart in the second period, and Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves in the victory.

The Rangers have won seven straight home games against the Coyotes dating to Nov. 24, 2008.

Antti Raanta is expected to start in goal in the second game of the back-to-back set. Raanta started 10 games that were the second half of a back-to-back set for the Rangers last season and posted a 6-3-1 record, a 2.22 goals-against average, and a .922 save percentage in those games.

Rick Nash has notched 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 39 games vs. the Coyotes.
