Who holds the franchise record for most assists in a single season?

Coyotes only? The Wizard - Ray Whitney - with 51 points he has just surpassed Captain Coyote - Shane Doan, who held the previous record of 50 points in a season (2007/'08).

If this question also included the Winnipeg Jets days, the record is held by Phil Housley. By today's standard, his number of 79 assists (1992–93) seems to be an unbelievable accomplishment for a defenseman.

You sir are correct. Housley's 79 helpers was amazing. ALMOST as amazing as Selanne's 76 goals that same season (the reason why tricky Phil was able to pile up so many assists). A season for the ages.
