He obviously already likes the nightlife there.

There's no doubt about the skill there, and I bet Tippett would love him. <--------sarcasm.

Thoughts?

My thoughts? I'd take character over skills any day.

Nyet to Radulov.

Really? Have you met him or something? He seems like a business/Money oriented 25 year old who knows how to get the most for his commodity. Nothing wrong with that.

Not sure i'd want him on the yotes but he'd be the most talented player on the roster. No other Russians on the squad to provide a distraction. It's possible he could come in on a one year, light the world on fire and put his fate in his own hands. If he's not a fit we could always trade him at the deadline i guess.

I wouldn't trade much (if anything) for him, but I wouldn't say no to sending an offer his way (Nashville will obviously not match it). So, 1.025 million for 1 year would be a decent offer (which I believe would be under the minimum to require us to compensate picks).

Still, I can't imagine he wants to stay in the U.S. after his recent shenanigans and he'll most likely go back to Russia where he can party all he wants :drink:

I heard he has to pay back the money for bailing if he goes back to the KHL, so he's staying.

Nashville will get something for his rights - book it.

Arguably, Radulov's selfish, thoughtless antics have contributed to the Predators' playoff exit. Prior to that, he took his ball and ran to the KHL, ignoring a valid contract to play in the NHL. Talent is absolutely secondary in a player who regularly thinks of himself first in a team sport like hockey.

The Yotes are a prototypical team of lunch pailers. A club that consistently achieves greater results as a team, than the sum of its parts would ordinarily suggest. A Radulov type player has no spot on this team because talent at the expense of character will not bring this squad forward. It actually may set them back.

No GM in his right mind should reward behaviors like Radulov's but I am sure someone will take a flyer on him. I just hope it's not GMDM.

I'm sure they will and my guess is it will be Detroit,Toronto, Philly, or some other team that knows how to deal with egos. Still, if we could snag him at around 1 million, or trading a midling prospect, it may be worth the gamble.
