Here's the place to sound off about the Portland Pirates of the AHL, the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL or anything related to minor league hockey.

Prospects in World Juniors

It is 4-4 Canada and Czech Republic going into OT. Marek Langhammer is in net for the Czech and is the reason they are going into OT. Best game by a Coyotes prospect goalie I have ever seen. Mark Visentin made me nervous. This kid is rock solid!

And the dog's prospect wins! Stops two of three shooters in the shootout.

Other prospect observations in WJHC:

Leon Draisaitl has looked very unimpressive in the first two matches. Granted, the German team is not exactly a top calibre side, but a player such as young Draisaitl, should generally be expected to show something during the first 6 periods of a tournament. He has looked almost disinterested at times and a couple of other German players actually have impressed me more - if there is such a thing on a club that got blown out twice, so far. :palm:

Anyhow, I will keep watching and hope for the *real* Draisaitl to show up...

Further to my last...

Draisaitl gets a one game suspension following a check from behind in the 8-0 loss to the US. The German squad plays without its skipper and arguably most talented player against the Czechs who just beat Canada. Germany with the upset - 3-zip. :onfire:

Tiffels, Kahoun and Cupper for the win...
