When I was a kid there was a great British sitcom on PBS that I loved to watch....Good Neighbors....Do you remember that one? One of the actresses was named Penelope and I thought it was pronounced (Pene - Lope - like antelope) My sister would crack up everytime I said it and it was probably 2 years before someone explained it to me.

Great, now I'm going to be searching Amazon for another obscure title.
Thanks ukcoyote.

I wouldn't worry too much about MP being intertwined with British humor. Whenever I watch MP, I don't think British humor, I think MP humor. I used to watch Kids in th Hall too, but I don't think all Canadian humor is cross-dressing.

Add to my favorite TV shows... Heroes on NBC. I want to give it a full season, but it is on pace to be one of my all time favorites. I tivo'd the whole season when I saw preview and never watched them until this week. Now I can't stop. I'm through about 5 episodes and I'm shocked. The acting, the story, the production quality, all excellent.

Yep. I'm hooked as well.

Another (new to me) show I've fallen for is Battlestar Galactica. My brother talked me into watching the made for tv movie/pilot that aired a couple of years ago. Ended up renting the subsequent seasons and am watching the current one.

Not just a great Sci-Fi show - it's a great show. Period.

I've recorded, but haven't watched any of the LOST episodes. While I'm diligently avoiding spoilers, the word I'm getting is that it's turning into what I feared it would: another X-Files.

ANYWAY: Yes, Heroes is good. Very good.

FYI, SciFi is replaying episodes of Heroes, for those that have missed. It is one show you pretty much have to see every episode to fully get it. I don't know if they are doing the first few weeks on SciFi, but this week's episode is replaying this morning, and on Monday.

Here here! Just watched all the seasons in one week. Highly recommended. Me and "Helo" grew up together and it's all filmed in Vancouver/Southern BC. Alot of familliar sights for me. Great, great show which I recommend to Sci-Fi and non-Sci-fi television fans alike.

:) This is easily the oldest message I have ever quoted in a forum post. Might be a record for all I know *snort*.

LOL @ Pene - Lope. Years ago (before the first Potter movie came out) I heard my wife reading the Harry Potter book to our young son. She was pronouncing Hermione ' Her- ME- own'. It was awhile before I got around to reading it and seeing what the real name was. Now if they ever say that guy Scrimgeour's name in one of the movies I'll know how to pronounce that.
