ANYWAY I had just popped over to thank CoyoteQ for the Kite Runner mention. I had meant to read that a long time ago and just lost track of it. Your post jogged my memory and I picked it up. Great book.

Same to Lils17 with regard to Veronica Mars. Been hearing good things and seeing your 'recommendation' persuaded me to pick up Season 1 at the video store. Really liking the show so far.

The Simpsons are 10, 000% funnier than family Guy, but I felt a change was needed.

BTW: I'm intending to answer the roll call, but I'm stuck. When I list my five favorite TV shows right now, I come up with:

The Real World,
The Real World/Road Rules Challenges,
Making the Band 3,
The Hills, and
Laguna Beach (praying for a return...)

and I'm having a hard time admitting this in public cuz I'm not sure what this says about me :shrugg:

All I can say is that I wish Lauren would wake up and dump Jason.

I'll let you know when I get over my phobia... :P

Had a tough time picking the music! Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many to choose from.

The Colbert Report and The Daily Show are close in the TV shows, as is Futurama and I didn't note hockey — as that kinda goes without saying.

Monty Python

We are trying to find a copy of The Meaning of Life.
None of the local video stores have it (they have Holy Grail and Life of Brian).

Our favorite quote is "Give me a bucket"
Anytime we go out to a buffet or have a big cookout someone has to say it and pretend to puke....the kids get the joke but they haven't seen the movie to REALLY get it.

Anyone own it?

 Or after the waiter reads the entire menu, he's all "I'll have the lot...and DON'T skimp on the patee."

My brother and I said "bring me a bucket" so much, we decided to change things up and use "I'll have the lot" in that barfy voice when a waitperson reads the specials.
I'm due for a phone upgrade, and I can tell you what I will NOT get.....eat it Silly-Sack! Boycot the Blackberry!

I never liked Monty Python. It's a bit annoying that British humour is characterised abroad as MP and things like Benny Hill. Both of those are rubbish IMO - much prefer things like Alan Partridge and Peep Show. If you can ever get hold of copies of those two, get them a try!
